Tonner Display Dolls

In 2001 Robert Tonner released the first set of Authorised Display dolls. These dolls were sent out to Tonner Doll retailers, so that the collector could see the quaility and tailoring of each of the outfits from the Tyler Wentworth collection. Each doll was dressed by the Tonner doll design team and had a gold coloured "Authorised Display Doll" wrist tag, the boxes also had a gold sticker stating the same message. In 2002 the second selection of Display dolls featured the gold wrist tag but the boxes for these dolls had the actual name of the doll and "display doll" written on them.

The display dolls only featured Tyler and Esme and it is beleived that only 50 display dolls of each outfit exist.

There was a list of display dolls issued on the Tonner Doll website but the list was only an assumption as the company were not fully sure what had been sent out to the stores.
